Record the error and expected result
Keep the time, record reference, Flow version and the action you expected. Distinguish a Flow that did not start from one that started and reached an error. Redact customer details before asking for help.
Check the trigger, access and input
Compare the entry conditions with the affected record. Check required values, validation rules and the permissions relevant to the Flow’s running context. A change that works for an administrator may behave differently for another user.
Inspect failure handling
A fault path controls what happens when a supported Flow element errors. Decide who should see the failure and how useful details are recorded. Simply hiding the error can leave the business process incomplete.
Test the change and any replay
Use an appropriate sandbox or agreed test approach. Test a normal record, missing information and a repeat update. Check which actions already happened before retrying so another task or message is not created by accident.
